"Prada" is a world known Famous Brand.



Prada History:-



Mario Prada began selling leather handbags, shoes and travel trunks in 1913, creating the Prada label. He worked initially in the US and in Europe, before returning to Italy to open two shops of his own in Milan.

His initial Prada suitcases were heavy and elaborate, a sign of quality in the days of sea travel. As air travel took hold in the 20th century, however, these designs became impractical. Prada began making lightweight bags suitable for aircraft, adding quality items made of crystal, tortoise shell and wood to the range. In the US they were also selling waterproof garments, but by the 1970s, the Prada label had gone into decline.



Mario's daughter, Miuccia Prada, was born in 1950. She gained a doctorate degree in political science during her 20s, but in 1979 she assumed control of the Prada family business. She expanded the company line into luxury handbags and backpacks in black, using simple designs made from nylon. This was the beginning of the classic Prada black handbags.



Although less famous than the handbags, Prada launched their first successful line of footwear and ready to wear clothing in 1985. The focus was on high quality fabrics and clean lines. The Prada label became associated with unimposing elegance.



Miuccia Prada received the International award from the Council of Fashion Designers of America in 1993, followed by the Designer of the Year award in 1995.



The first Prada menswear shop was opened in 1998 in Los Angeles, followed by new boutiques in in Manhattan and Las Vegas.



Prada is now a worldwide concern with stores in practically every country in the western world. It is a million dollar business, with celebrities queueing up to wear Prada clothes.
